About the workshop

From a Chinese medical and Qigong perspective Spring is associated the wood element. As we transition from winter life springs forth and trees grow and expand upwards to the sun. On a human level wood corresponds to the muscles, tendons and ligaments of the body and like the trees spring is a time to be active; to stretch and strengthen the body. In this course you will learn the Muscle Tendon Change Classic, a key Qigong practice for Spring. These ancient practices are 1,500 years old and originate from the Shaolin temple. They consist of 12 forms that will yield the following health benefits:  You will feel less achy and stiff as chronic tension is released.  Your joints, muscles and tendons will be hydrated, healthier and stronger.  Pain and inflammation from arthritis will be reduced.  Range of movement will be increased.  Immunity strengthened.  The mind will be calm and focused.​ Most importantly these classes will be fun and accessible for all! Weather permitting some of the classes will take place outdoors in nature! Week One - 26th April Week Two - 3rd May Week Three - 10th May Week Four - 24th May
