Spring Yin Yoga and Self Massage

Saturday 20th April 12 - 2pm with Leila Davies

  • 30 British pounds
  • Yoga Garden Yurt

About the workshop

A yin yoga and massage workshop drawing on Eastern, Taoist principals combined with Western breath and body work to embrace the element of spring and new energy coming forth. Chinese medicine draws its wisdom from the natural world, so the ancient Taoist doctors regarded the transition from winter to spring as an important time of renewal, not just in nature, but also in our bodies. The element associated with spring is the wood element, which is known for its strength and flexibility. The wood element represents growth, which we are all reminded of when seeing new shoots rising from the earth in springtime. The liver and gall bladder are the organs associated with the wood element, and supporting these organs of detoxification in the spring can help them work better and boost energy levels. From this workshop, expect a detoxifying Yin sequence focused around recharging after the winter months. You will leave with a sense of vibrancy to carry you into spring. Open to all.
