Gemma Mallol

Gemma Mallol is the original founder and creator of Still Flowing Yoga Teacher Training which was established in 2008 offering teacher trainings worldwide.

She is a Senior Yoga and Mindfulness teacher and has been practicing and teaching for over 20 years (retreats, trainings, workshops, CPD and ongoing classes).  She is a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner (body orientated trauma therapist/the work of Dr. Peter Levine) working in both private practice and group settings.

Her yoga practice history spans Sivananda, Ashtanga Vinyasa, Vinyasa Flow, Yin, and in the last 10 years has centred around explorations into Scaravelli and Somatic Yoga. Her most influential and long term teachers include Danny Paradise, Bill Wood and Aki Omori. Her meditation background and practice is rooted in the Buddhist Theravada Thai Forest Tradition (Insight Meditation) and she has studied under and sat with Martin Alyward for over 10 years. Prior to this, she was deeply influenced and inspired by Steven Smith one of the original founders of the Insight Meditation Society and the Vietnamese Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh.

Marcela Enriquez Wakeham

Principal teacher on Still Flowing Yoga Teacher Training

Marcela is a senior yoga teacher, Qi Gong and pilates instructor and specialises in teaching experiential anatomy and physiology through movement.

From a deeply introspective practice and experiential knowledge Marcela has developed clear insight and understanding of the anatomy and physiology of movement, which she expresses in a uniquely fascinating and accessible way.

Marcela’s teachings are deeply rooted in a somatic sense of self and the perspective of one’s own life experiences which encompass body, mind and spirit. By bringing our attention to the inner-self, our breath and felt sense, she believes we can use movement to increase awareness and establish deeply restorative states of meditation.

Marcela’s early career centred around dance and choreography.  She is authorised to facilitate Dance of Awareness™ workshops, a therapeutic dance form, licensed by Tim Brown and Clare Osbond – the creators of this group based therapy. In her own practice she is a devoted practitioner of Continuum Movement.
