  • 20 British pounds

About the workshop

Yoga-Meditation-Writing Do you keep a journal, write poetry or any other form of creative writing? Come and discover how you can take your writing to the next level by practising yoga and meditation as a precursor to writing. In this workshop I will guide you through a hatha yoga flow, meditation and writing session What to expect There are three practical elements to the workshop: 1. The Hatha yoga flow is suitable for all levels of experience. We focus on how the prana, life energy force, is active in varying degrees, and how we can become aware of and cultivate the prana in our own bodies. 2. Next, the meditation will be a short and powerful experience to take us deep inside the awareness. We will be using the 'so hum' mantra to contemplate true nature. From this space we will free up ourselves to prepare to write. 3. Finally, we will use the process of writing to explore what may have arisen during the yoga and meditation sections of the workshop. The writing can be a process or it may want to formalise into an actual form, for example a poem. Whatever arrives will be welcomed! There will be opportunities to share any writing if you would like to, but this is entirely optional. You do not need to have a regular writing practice to participate.
